TaskForce

Questions

What people ask us.

The short answers, by theme. Another question? Write to us, a person answers.

The product

Who is TaskForce for?

Dev teams of 2 to 50 people. Tasks, schedule, chat and docs fit in one app, which you drive by talking to the AI.

Do I have to install anything?

No. TaskForce opens in the browser, on a computer as on a phone, and notifications arrive even when the app is closed.

What is a module?

A feature you switch on per space: chat, docs, Gantt, calendar, sprints, automations, files, progress reports. Every module is in every plan.

Is the app available in English?

Yes. Each person picks the language of their interface, French or English, in Settings.

Can we connect our tools?

Automations send to Slack, Teams or a webhook, and receive the webhooks of your CI. The API and the MCP protocol are open, with a personal key.

The AI

Do we have to use the AI?

No. Switched off, it leaves the screen and nothing goes outside.

What can it do?

Everything you would do by hand: create and move tasks, plan, sum up a channel, write an automation rule. Before a heavy action, it shows what it is about to do and waits for your Do it.

What does it see?

Only the space of the conversation, with your rights and never more. A memo per space gives it the context without having to dig.

What happens when the AI quota runs out?

The AI pauses until the 1st of the next month, everything else goes on. To carry on right away: a top-up of 35 million tokens for €20 excl. VAT, with no expiry.

Can we plug in our own AI?

Yes, in Settings: your own key, or an OpenAI-compatible server, including an AI running on your own machines. Requests then no longer go through our provider.

And Claude Code, Cursor, another MCP client?

Each person creates a key in Settings › Me › AI and tools. Their AI reads their tasks and moves them forward with their rights, and everything it writes carries the AI badge. The steps are in the help.

Your data

Where is our data?

On Hetzner servers in the European Union, under the GDPR. Requests to the included AI are processed by our AI provider, outside the European Union; you can plug in your own AI instead.

Who can access it?

Only the people you invite. Our team does not look at your data, unless you ask us to so we can fix a problem.

What about backups?

A backup is made every day, with an encrypted copy off the server, kept in Europe. You have nothing to do.

How do we secure the accounts?

Two-factor sign-in can be required for the whole team, and sign-in can go through Google or Microsoft. Sensitive texts (keys, passwords) are masked and encrypted.

Can we export everything?

Yes, at any time, from Settings › Data: as PDF, as Markdown, or the whole database. When you leave, your data is erased after your export.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

One price per team, AI included: Duo €5 a month for 2 people, Team €20 for 10, Pro €100 for 50. Yearly, two months are free.

Is there a trial?

Yes, 14 days free, with no commitment and no card.

Are prices excluding VAT?

Yes. VAT is added according to your country, and the invoice comes every month or every year.

What if the team grows?

Adding someone costs nothing within the plan’s limit. Beyond it, an admin moves to the next plan. More than 50 people? Write to us.

How do we cancel?

Whenever you want, from the app’s Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.

Switching tools

Can we import from our current tool?

Yes, from ClickUp, Jira, Trello, Linear, Asana, or any CSV. Your tasks, people and statuses come over, with a preview before anything is written and the list of what is not carried over.

How long does setup take?

A few minutes. There is nothing to configure: you create a space, invite the team, and get to work.

Can we keep our own address?

Yes. Your TaskForce has its address at eggstudio.app, and your own domain is connected on request, with HTTPS in place.

Your place, and us

Can we host TaskForce ourselves?

Soon. A Docker image, your server, your backups, and no mandatory connection to our servers. Free up to 10 active accounts. Everything is on the self-hosting page.

Who makes TaskForce?

Two French developers, who use it every day to build TaskForce. Our roadmap is public.

What if I need help?

The help answers the common issues, and the app’s ? menu sends us a bug or an idea. With the Pro plan, a person answers you by e-mail within one business day.
